Three parts of the chorus

What is the SaWaDiKa dance?

The SaWaDiKa dance is the chorus routine from BLACKPINK member LISA's 2026 solo single “SaWaDiKa”, built around the Thai greeting: palms pressed together at the chest and overhead, then a spin, sharp diagonal arms, knee-lift kicks and hip sways. The title spells out สวัสดีค่ะ (sawatdee ka), the polite “hello” women say in Thai. The template carries every count, so there is nothing to learn first.

Opening

The wai, twice: at the chest, then above the head

Why do the hands come together? In Thailand you greet someone with a wai: palms pressed flat, fingers pointing up, head dipped a little, as you say sawatdee. You answer with the same words and a wai back, ending in ka if you are a woman or krap if you are a man, which is why “sawadikap” turns up in searches too. LISA turned that hello into the hook move: the chorus opens with it twice, at the chest and then high overhead, before one arm shoots up into a quick spin and the arms cut out on sharp diagonals.

Middle

Side kicks, a hand on the hip and a flick past the face

The middle is the part people copy most: a side kick, a sway with the arms out, a hand on the hip as the hair whips round, then knee-lift kicks and a quick flick of the hand past the face. The whole body stays in frame, so every kick reads from head to shoes.

Ending

One more wai at the chest, then the arms go up to finish

The last counts turn round, bring the palms back together at the chest, throw both arms up in a V, press the palms together overhead and land with the hands on the head before a step toward the camera. The greeting opens and closes the chorus, which is why the loop restarts so neatly.

Do the chorus with your photo

Your photo sets the stage

Where can you dance SaWaDiKa with one photo?

Only the moves come from the template. The face, the outfit and the place behind the dancer come from your photo, so the same chorus can play out on a street, at a desk or on a beach. These illustrations show the idea: the small photo is what you upload, the large one where the dance then happens.

A coworker's photo at work puts the chorus in the office; ask them before you post.

Clear a step of floor around you before the photo, so the kicks and hip sways have room.

Open space and bright daylight keep every arm line and kick easy to read.

How do you keep the palms together and the feet in frame?

Loose palms in the wai and feet cut off at the bottom are the two slips people spot first, and both usually start with the photo.

What the dance needs to see

  1. A woman in a grey sweatshirt and jeans on a white background, in frame from head to sneakers

Crown to sneakers, with room to kick

Knee lifts and side kicks need legs, feet and some floor the model can see. Leave space above your head, below your shoes and on both sides.

  2. A man in an olive t-shirt on a white background, arms slightly away from his body and both hands open

    Both arms free, hands open

The wai only lands when the model can see your hands. Keep them out of pockets and away from bags, phones and sleeves.

  3. A woman in a cream cardigan facing the camera on a white background, her face fully visible

    Your face, and nobody else's

Face the camera in even light, with nobody else in the shot. Spins and head turns hold up better when the face is easy to read.

Where the slips start

  1. A woman taking an arm's-length selfie that stops at her waist, in a blurred concrete garage

Selfies that stop at the waist

With no legs or floor to go on, the model has to invent them, and the kicks are where feet slide out of frame.

  2. A man in a dark hoodie with his arms folded and his hands tucked out of sight, in a blurred concrete garage

    Folded arms or hidden hands

Arms crossed, hands in pockets or around a bag: the model has to guess the hands, and guessed palms often miss each other in the wai.

  3. Three friends laughing with their arms around each other in a blurred concrete garage

    Anyone else in the picture

One photo, one dancer: other people in the shot can blend into you or get pulled into the dance.

  4. A woman squeezed into a cluttered garage corner between a bicycle, stacked boxes and a shelf

    A cramped, cluttered corner

Bikes, boxes or a doorframe right next to you get in the way of the arms and kicks, and busy shapes behind you can warp as you move.

When did SaWaDiKa become an AI dance trend?

Covers appeared within a day of the release and the first AI version a day after that; the joke that stuck is that anyone, even a cat, can dance LISA's dance.

FAQ

Questions about the SaWaDiKa dance AI video

How do I make a LISA SaWaDiKa AI dance video?+

Upload one head-to-toe photo to the “Dancer” slot, pick the resolution and press Generate; the button shows the credits first. The length and shape follow the built-in dance, and there is no prompt to write.

Is it SaWaDiKa, sawadeeka or sawadikap?+

LISA's song is spelled SaWaDiKa. Sawadeeka is a common spelling of the same Thai hello, but it is also the title of a Tamil film song released in 2024, so searches for it mix the two. Sawadikap is the men's version of the greeting. This template is LISA's SaWaDiKa chorus.

Is SaWaDiKa Dance AI free?+

It runs on credits. The 15.6-second dance costs 219 credits at 720p and 360 at 1080p; the Generate button shows the exact price before you start, and a failed run gives the credits back.

Does my video play the song SaWaDiKa?+

Yes. The video keeps the sound of the template dance clip, so the SaWaDiKa chorus plays in time with your moves.

Will LISA appear in my video?+

No. The dancer in your video is the person in your photo, and nobody from the example appears. Photos of LISA or any other celebrity are not allowed; use your own photo or one of someone who agreed.

Can my cat or dog do the SaWaDiKa dance?+

Not on this template yet. AI cats doing the chorus helped start the AI side of the trend, but this version is built for people, so use a photo of a person for now.

Why do the palms or the face look off in a few frames?+

Spins and fast kicks are the hardest frames to hold steady, and results vary from run to run. If the palms miss in the wai or the face drifts, try a sharper full-body photo with your hands in view, then generate again.

Is this the official SaWaDiKa choreography?+

No. Oeneo AI isn't affiliated with LISA, LLOUD, RCA Records, BLACKPINK, or any choreographer or dancer. The template follows the chorus as people dance it in the challenge, not the full stage routine, and it doesn't copy any performance frame by frame.
