Can AI put Christmas lights on my house?

Yes. Upload a daytime photo of your home and this Christmas lights visualizer returns the same house at dusk with lights along its real roofline, windows and yard, in the style you pick. Think of it as a Christmas light simulator for your own house: settle on a look before you buy lights, climb a ladder or call an installer.

Lights on real edges

Lights land on the lines your house already has

Adding Christmas lights to a house photo by hand means hours of masking in a photo editor. Here the lights follow the roof edges, gables, porch beams, window frames and plants that are actually in your photo and cast a soft glow on the siding, so the preview reads like an installed display rather than a sticker on top. Drag the slider to check each edge against the daytime shot.

Same house, decorated

Your house stays your house

It decorates the outside of your house for Christmas without redesigning it: walls, roofline, windows, doors, trees, the front walk and the camera angle stay where they were, and snow already on the roof stays too. Only the sky turns to early evening and the decorations go on, so you judge the lights on your own brick or siding, not on a dream home.

Which Christmas light style suits your house?

One farmhouse photo, run through every outdoor style, plus a living room for the indoor look. Compare them as ideas for your own roofline, warm white next to multicolor, roofline only or the whole yard, then make the same preview of your own home.

White farmhouse at dusk with warm-white lights outlining the roof, gable and windows, a lit wreath on the door and garland on the porch

Any house · least to hang

Warm white roofline

Warm-white strings trace the roofline, gables and windows, with a lit wreath on the door and pine garland on the porch. It flatters brick, stone, white siding and Craftsman trim alike and fits streets that keep it classic. The least to hang: one line along the roof, plus the door.

Ranch houses · bungalows

Retro multicolor bulbs

Big old-fashioned colored bulbs run along the roof and windows, the shrubs get wrapped in color and candy-cane markers glow along the walk. It answers the warm white or multicolor question on your own house, and colored bulbs read especially well on low ranch houses and bungalows. More to hang: roof, windows, shrubs and path.

The same farmhouse at dusk with white icicle lights along every eave, white-lit trees and a thin layer of snow on the roof and lawn

Long eaves · two stories

Cool white icicles

Cool white icicle lights drip from every eave, the trees glow white and the scene gets a light dusting of snow. It suits houses with long, straight eaves, such as two-story and farmhouse roofs, and shows cool white against warm white at a glance. This look adds snow even when your photo has none.

The same farmhouse at dusk with red-and-white striped porch posts, giant glowing peppermints and lollipops along the path and pink-red windows

Porch and walk · go big

Candy cane lane

Red-and-white striped lights spiral up the porch posts, oversized glowing peppermints and lollipops line the path and the windows glow pink and red. Pick it for a house with a front porch and a walk to the door, on a street where everyone goes all out. It leans on yard pieces more than on the roofline.

The same farmhouse at dusk with giant magenta, teal and gold ornaments on the lawn, spiral lights in the trees, star window lights and a lit arch over the path

Lawn and trees · statement

Whimsical glow

Oversized glowing ornaments stand on the lawn, curling light strands wind through the trees, star lights fill the windows and a lit garland arch frames the path. It needs some lawn and a tree or two, and it is the biggest display of the set, so preview it before you commit to giant yard ornaments.

Apartments · rentals

Cozy living room

For a room photo: a decorated tree in the empty corner, stockings on the mantel, garlands, candles and warm lamplight. It brings the look indoors when there is no house front to light, in an apartment or a rental.

How do you preview Christmas lights on your house?

It all runs in the browser on your phone or computer, so there's no app to install: one photo of the house, one tap on a style.

Christmas lights visualizer FAQ

Is this Christmas lights visualizer free?+

It runs on credits: new accounts start with 10 free credits, and each preview costs 3 credits at 1K, 4 at 2K or 5 at 4K. The Generate button shows the exact price before you run it.

How accurate is the preview for planning my lights?+

Treat it as a picture of the look, not a blueprint. It keeps your house and yard and puts the lights on their real edges, but it can drift on small details such as a railing, a gutter or a porch light. Use it to choose colors and where lights go, roofline only or windows and trees too, and to show your family or installer what you mean.

Can it tell me how many lights to buy?+

No. It doesn't measure your roofline or count strands, feet, bulbs or watts, and it doesn't name products or prices. Once you like a preview, measure those edges on the real house and size the lights from there.

Can I use a photo taken during the day?+

Yes, daylight works best. The result switches the sky and light to early evening, so a sunny or overcast photo comes back at dusk with the lights on, while a night shot of a dark house hides the edges the lights should follow.

Does it work for a living room or an apartment balcony?+

Yes. Pick the Cozy room style for a photo of your living room. For a balcony or porch, use an outdoor style with the railing and plants in the frame, and the lights wrap along them.

Will my house number show in the result?+

The template is set to keep house numbers unreadable, but small text can slip through, so cover or crop the number before you upload and check for street signs, mail or anything else that shows your address before you post.

Can I make the lights twinkle?+

Yes. Tap Animate it under your result to send the photo to the Animate Christmas Photo template, pick its twinkling lights motion, and you get a 5-second video for 60 credits at the default settings.

Can it add inflatables or famous Christmas characters to my yard?+

No. The styles use generic decorations only: lights, wreaths, garlands, glowing ornaments, peppermints and candy canes. Characters from films, cartoons or ads and branded inflatables aren't added.
