The friend with the biggest mouth
Whoever talks the most trash about their game takes the defender spot and stands there while you fly.

Put yourself and a friend into the middle finger dunk: a crossover on a packed night court, a split-leg fly-over for the slam, then the finger right at the camera.

The middle finger dunk is a two-person basketball meme: one friend crosses the other up on a packed night court, flies over them for the slam and throws up the middle finger, once in the air and again at the camera.
Dunking over a defender is called a poster dunk, because it leaves them in the background of someone else’s poster. Add the finger and it becomes a disrespectful dunk meme, with the casting as the joke: who gets to fly, and who just has to stand there.
On TikTok the same 1v1 dunk also travels as the basketball middle finger trend, remade with whoever people most want to see dunked on.
A night streetball clip spreads on TikTok, reposted as “Bro did an emote mid dunk”: a player flies over the defender and throws up the middle finger in mid-air. It passed one million views by October 25.
The first AI version follows, captioned in French “Mon prime 1v1” (my prime 1v1): the same move as a slow-motion 1v1, now with the finger at the camera as well. It reached 1.18 million views by October 25.
One-tap photo templates of the dunk appear in video-editing apps; the most used, added on October 22, had over 11,000 uses by October 25.
Template sites publish two-photo how-tos under the name middle finger dunk, one photo for the dunker and one for the defender, and by the next day the name is in use on X too.

Same streetball origin, two different videos. Pick by how many people you’re putting in and whether the finger suits where you’ll post it.

Your video follows this 9-second clip from the first dribble to the last frame.
10:00–0:01Under the floodlights, with a crowd lining the court, the dunker attacks the defender; then the camera drops low and close as the crossover goes by.
20:01–0:04Slow motion from under the rim: the dunker takes off and splits both legs over the defender, ball held high in one hand and the middle finger up in the other, then pushes the ball up at the top.
30:04–0:05The dunker lands behind the defender, who turns to watch the ball drop through the hoop.
40:05–0:08The defender tosses the ball back, and the dunker walks up to the camera bouncing it, grinning, with the middle finger held right at the lens.
50:08–0:08The camera whips past the floodlights and stops on the defender, so the last face on screen belongs to the one who got dunked on.
Four casts that work, each with a caption ready to post.

One of you flies, the other stands under the rim and takes it. Whoever lost the last argument plays defense.

Team, club or office bet: the loser plays the defender and the group chat gets the video.

Cast the friend who has never made a layup as the dunker. The bigger the gap, the funnier the fly-over.

Your photos bring the faces, hair, bodies, clothes and shoes; the template keeps the court, the crowd, the camera, every move including the finger, and the sound. Either role works for any gender, and if you’d rather be the one dunked on, put yourself in photo 2.

Yes. The template keeps it: up in the air during the fly-over and again at the camera on the walk back, the way the meme goes. Platforms treat rude gestures differently, so it often fits a group chat or a private story better than a public feed.
This dunk needs two people, one per photo. With only one, the AI dunk video in the comparison above is the one-photo version: you dunk, and the defender stays the one from its clip.
No. Use only yourself and adult friends who agreed to be in it: no celebrities, politicians or athletes, and no one under 18.
Yes. Either role works for any gender, and the moves stay the same whoever plays them.
The clip that started it was real streetball; the two-person remakes, yours included, are AI videos, and nobody in your photos actually jumped. Label it as AI when you post it to TikTok, Reels or Shorts so nobody takes it for a real clip.
The fly-over is the hardest part: two bodies cross in slow motion, and two similar photos can blend. Use photos that look clearly different, each with a sharp face (see the photo checklist), and generate again.
Yes, it keeps the template’s own sound, so there’s no song to add.
