Send a finished image back with one or two small changes, such as a new title or an added prop, and say the layout stays. Compare the two versions side by side, since details outside the change can still shift.
Grok Imagine 2 rewrites and expands your prompt before it draws, so anything that must appear word for word belongs in quotes. Keep everything else simple.
Quote the exact words and say where they go

Give each image one joke
Describe the setup and the visual punchline in one sentence. Let the caption add the twist instead of repeating the picture.
When editing, list what stays, then the one change
“Keep the dog, jacket, pose and layout exactly the same. Change only the title to …” works better than describing the whole image again.
Pasting a paragraph of copy into the picture
Long blocks of text are where letters slip. Keep long copy in the post caption, not in the image.

Grok Imagine 2 is xAI's Imagine Image 2.0, released on August 7, 2026 as the Quality mode of Grok Imagine, and as of October 2026 it is still xAI's newest image model. Compared with the earlier Grok Imagine image model, it plans lettering and layout before it draws and treats editing as a core job. At launch, xAI reported that it ranked second on Arena in both text-to-image and image editing (xAI announcement, August 7, 2026).
