What is the Mickey Mickey D's dance?

The Mickey Mickey D's dance is a 2 person dance named after a drive-thru order that spread on TikTok in October 2026: two people stand side by side with straight faces, run through a few small hand moves, then suddenly bolt out of frame.

Two young women stand side by side on a white staircase landing with their wrists crossed in front of their chests, faces straight

The “lyrics” people search for are the order posts caption it with: “Mickey Mickey D's, large number 3, don't forget my fries,” often followed by “and my sweet tea.” Mickey D's is American slang for McDonald's, so the whole routine is a deadpan fast-food order.

You'll also see it called the large number 3 dance, the don't forget my fries dance or the McDonald's dance trend, and spelled micky d dance or Micky Micky D's.

The fun is in the straight faces: nobody smiles through a dance about fries. It takes a few tries to learn and only needs two people side by side, so friends, siblings and couples film it in hallways, kitchens and school lunchrooms.

Mickey D's dance tutorial: six moves, from the bounce to the run-off

The routine is six moves done with a straight face: a small bounce, an arm flung out, hand rolls, three fingers up by the face, a raised wave and the run-off. Here they are in the solo template, one still per move.

  1. A young man in a light grey hoodie and shorts stands facing the camera in a hallway, arms at his sides10:00

    Stand and bounce

Face the camera, hands down at your sides, and bounce lightly on the spot.

  2. The dancer swings one arm out to the side with the hand open20:01

    Fling an arm out

Swing one arm out to the side, flick the hand, then bring it back in.

  3. The dancer rolls both hands around each other in front of his chest30:03

    Roll your hands

Roll your hands around each other in front of your chest.

  4. The dancer holds both hands up beside his face, three fingers raised on each40:03

    Three fingers by the face

Pop both hands up beside your face, three fingers raised on each, still not smiling. The rolls and this pose then repeat once.

  5. The dancer raises one hand high and waves50:06

    Wave one hand high

Raise one hand above your head and wave it.

  6. The dancer leaps sideways as he sprints out of the hallway shot60:07

    Hand to chest, then run

Press a hand to your chest, turn, and sprint out of frame, leaving the room empty.

In the duo template both dancers keep straight faces to the end, then split: the left dancer runs out the left side and the right dancer out the right, leaving the staircase empty.

Can your baby do the Mickey D's dance?

Yes. The AI baby Mickey D's dance that CapCut template accounts have posted since October 22 is this same solo routine moved onto a baby photo, and the Solo version does the same with a photo of your baby.

Baby

Babies can do it too

A toddler in a onesie raises both hands by the face and waves on a bed, then turns and runs out of frame.

Dogs use their front paws

A dog or cat can dance it solo or take one side of the duo next to you, doing the hand moves with its front paws; pets follow the routine more loosely than people.

When did the Mickey D's dance trend start?

The Mickey D's dance trend took off on TikTok in mid-October 2026, set to an original sound first posted in April 2018. Who made up the moves is unclear, and the October 11 post below says as much in its caption.

Posts and numbers that marked the wave

  1. @ourwrlduarejustlivingin0 posts two girls doing it on a staircase landing, captioned “@ whoever made this i forgot”; it reaches about 591,000 views.

  2. @wtfkebba's duo reaches 4.5 million views and 509,000 likes; a lunchroom duo by @..isa.bellaa from two days earlier, tagged #2persondance, has 1.6 million, and a twins version by @babygoatsaii posted the same day passes 500,000.

  3. @idk_tonio does the whole routine alone in a hallway and reaches 1.2 million views. Over the next two days, CapCut templates labelled “ai dance” and “Micky D's” go up; by October 31 five templates had about 20,500 uses combined.

How do you make an AI Mickey D's dance video?

Pick Duo for two dancers or Solo for one. Duo keeps the white staircase landing from its template and Solo the hallway from its own. Swap the two duo photos to swap sides.

Mickey D's dance AI: common questions

Is the Mickey D's dance real or AI?+

Both. The dance spread through TikTok posts of real people doing it in hallways, lunchrooms and kitchens; the AI versions, like the dancing-baby templates, move the same routine onto a photo, which is what this page does with yours.

Is it the Micky D'z dance or a Kane Brown song?+

No. The Micky D'z dance is a different song and dance from 2020, and the “Mickey D's song” results that name Kane Brown or Fly Boi Keno are other music. This dance runs on an original TikTok sound, not a released song.

Is the Mickey D's dance connected to McDonald's?+

Only through the slang in its name. Oeneo AI isn't affiliated with or endorsed by McDonald's, this isn't an official template, and the clips show no restaurant logos.

Can I do the 2 person version on my own?+

Yes: put the same photo in both duo slots and you dance next to yourself, like twins. If you'd rather have one dancer, pick Solo.

Is there a Mickey Mickey D's CapCut template?+

Yes. CapCut templates for it have been up since mid-October, and the AI ones mostly make a baby dance alone; you reach them through promo posts in the TikTok and CapCut apps. Here you upload photos in the browser instead, and you get a two-person duo as well as the solo.

What sound does my Mickey D's dance video have?+

The template's own sound: each version keeps the sound of its clip, so the video is ready to post without adding a track.

Why doesn't the dancer look exactly like my photo?+

The fast hand rolls and the sprint at the end are the hardest moments for keeping a face and hands sharp, so a frame here and there can drift from your photo. The photo checklist above shows which shots hold up; each new run also comes out a little different.

Is Mickey D's dance AI free?+

No. Each video costs credits, and the price depends on the version and the resolution; the Generate button shows it before you start. New accounts get 10 credits at sign-up.

Is my Mickey D's dance video public?+

No. Videos from this page stay private on every plan, since the photos are often of a friend, a family member or a baby.
