The dog making coffee AI trend is a meme built on one 14-second coffee making AI video: two dogs make instant coffee at a kitchen counter, wreck it and stay completely unbothered. It went viral under the caption “when you leave Max and Tilda alone in the kitchen for 5 minutes”, and it plays out in four beats.
10:00–0:05The smaller tan dog lifts a steel kettle and pours hot water into the red cup, while the big brindle dog's first spoonful of coffee lands on the counter.
20:05–0:10The big dog scoops instant coffee from the Coffee jar, piles more grounds around the cup and keeps glancing away, as if none of it were its doing.
30:10–0:12A bottle of milk tips in from the left, misses the cup completely and spreads in a white flood across the counter.
40:12–0:14The big dog lifts the red cup and stares off to the side above the puddle; neither dog so much as looks at the mess.

Any two photos can take over the counter, so the same clip becomes a cat making coffee AI video, a you-and-your-dog video or an AI coffee couple. Each photo brings one character; how much of a fur pattern or small markings carries over depends on how clearly the photo shows them.

Both keep their own face and coat and work the kettle and the spoon with their paws.

Caption: me and my dog vs. one cup of coffee
You stand behind the counter at your own height and scoop with your hands; your dog stays a dog, paws up on the counter.

Caption: we split the chores. this was the coffee.
Two photos of people give you the coffee couple version: one tips the milk over the counter, the other lifts the cup as if nothing happened.

Caption: the plush crew is on coffee duty now
A teddy, a plush or a figure works when the photo shows it whole; it works the kettle or the spoon with its paws.
The coffee making AI meme broke out on October 27, 2026, when an AI clip of two big dogs went up on TikTok; within four days the same kitchen had two people, a knight and a kitten, and template pages of its own.
The joke is the deadpan: two dogs take the job seriously, make a complete mess and act as if nothing happened. The post's caption spells it out: “Max: unbothered. Tilda: certified menace.”
Because the clip is one fixed kitchen shot, anyone fits behind the counter. The TikTok post and the first two-person version went up 12 minutes apart from different accounts in the same setup, so both remade an earlier clip that has not been traced, and no post can claim to be the first.
@maxboerboeldog posts the two big dogs on TikTok. By October 31 the clip has 308,000 views, 29,000 likes and 5,450 shares.
A two-person version in the same kitchen setup goes up on Instagram and reaches 614,000 likes by October 31.
@amb_ai_studio posts “Knight and kitty making coffee” on Instagram: a knight in black armour and a kitten in armour at the same counter, with 181,000 likes by October 31.
MakeViral publishes a Coffee Making AI Video template page and redirects its older pets-making-coffee page to it.
media.io adds a Cats Making Coffee page, and prompt blogs start posting “Viral AI Coffee Couple” tutorials that swap the two dogs for two people in Google Flow; a Hindi one follows on October 31.
Dates (UTC) and counts read on October 31, 2026 from the TikTok and Instagram posts, the MakeViral and media.io pages and the tutorials.
Your two photos decide who makes the coffee: face, fur or hair, and clothes. The clip keeps the kitchen, the red cup, the Coffee jar, the kettle, the spilled grounds, the milk on the counter, the camera and the pacing. Swap the two uploads to swap who pours and who spills.

Photo 1·Left · kettle
Plays the smaller tan dog behind the counter on the left: it lifts the kettle and pours into the red cup, and the milk spills from its side of the counter.

Photo 2·Right · spoon
Plays the big brindle dog in front on the right: it scoops from the Coffee jar, spills the grounds, then lifts the red cup and looks away.

No. It's an AI-made clip, not footage of real dogs: no dog lifted a hot kettle, touched the coffee or drank any of it. Your version is made from photos the same way, so your own pets never go near the counter.
No. The prompt blogs have you download the dog clip and paste a long prompt into another tool; here the clip and the instructions are already part of the template, so you add two photos and click Generate.
Both photos are required; there is no one-photo mode. Put yourself in the other spot, or borrow a friend or a friend's pet.
Usually the photos: two animals in one photo, a small or turned-away face, or two near-identical pets leave the model guessing who is who. Use one clear subject per photo, as in the photo check above, and generate again; fur patterns and small markings can still come out simplified.
No. Cat and pet barista videos show a pet pulling espresso or pouring latte art in a café. This one is a home kitchen: instant coffee, a kettle, a red cup and milk all over the counter, with no espresso machine and no latte art.
Only if your photos bring the costumes. The template keeps the kitchen, not the outfits, so armour appears only when the person or toy in your photo is wearing it.
No. Oeneo AI saves the result as an MP4 video, which TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts take as is; there is no GIF export.
No, each video costs credits, and new accounts get 10 credits when they sign up. The price changes with the resolution you pick, and the Generate button shows the exact amount before you start.
