Color and material
Closer than color names alone will get you. Write each color as a hex code, name the finish of every surface, then check the result against your swatch before it ships.
Colorways
Generate one colorway, upload it as the reference and change only the hex code for each variant, so the shape and materials carry over from run to run. Say which part each code applies to, then compare the render with the swatch.
Finishes
"Aluminium" can come back polished or anodized; "brushed aluminium with a fine directional grain" gives the model something specific to render. Use it for material boards and finish options, then zoom in on edges and highlights to check that each surface reads the way you described it.
Packaging
Use it to mock up a can, box or label in your brand color with the product name on it before anything goes to print. Proofread every letter and hold the color against your swatch before sign-off.
Editing and references
Upload one photo to edit it, or several to combine them. Refer to each upload by its order (image 1, image 2 and so on) and say what to keep and what to change. With the Auto ratio, an edit follows the shape of image 1.
One photo
Start from a clean packshot, describe the new setting, light and any person or props, then list what must not change: color, shape, logo position. Compare those details with the original packshot before you use the result.
Several photos
Say which upload supplies the shape and which supplies the material or color, for example "the lamp from image 1 with its base in the terrazzo from image 2". Every reference adds credits, so keep only the ones doing a job.
Lead with the subject, spell out what has to hold, and drop the words the model cannot use.
Put the subject and any printed words first
Name the main object and the quoted headline in the opening sentence; short text placed early renders most reliably.
Write colors as hex codes
"Ear cups in color #2E86AB" beats "blue ear cups". Upload a swatch as a reference when the match matters.
Name the lens and where the light comes from
"85mm, f/4, soft window light from the left" gives skin, fabric and metal believable highlights.
Use a JSON prompt for a matching series
Fix scene, lighting and camera as JSON fields and change only the subject from image to image.
Negative prompts
FLUX.2 Pro has no negative prompt. Instead of "no clutter", describe what is there: "one vase on an empty white plinth".
Quality tags instead of details
"8k, ultra realistic" adds little. Material, light and lens details do the work, and faces still need a close look.
Starting at 2K
Settle the composition at 1K first; 2K edits can add detail you did not ask for.
Paragraphs and small print
Body copy, fine print and non-Latin scripts are less reliable. Check every character, or add the text later in a design tool.

One model handles text-to-image and editing with reference images, and it is strongest at photoreal products, materials and lighting. On Oeneo AI it runs in the browser at 1K / 2K.
You can test it free: new accounts get 10 credits, and a 1K FLUX.2 Pro image costs 6 credits. After that you need credits or a plan. Free-plan images are public; paid plans keep them private by default.
Pro balances speed, quality and price, and Black Forest Labs recommends it for most generation and editing. No to both. FLUX.2 Pro is only offered through hosted APIs; the FLUX.2 models with open weights are Dev and Klein. Oeneo AI is a browser workbench with no public API, so you do not need an API key.
Users have reported an over-polished, AI look in FLUX.2 Pro portraits. Name the camera and light direction and describe real skin and fabric texture; for portrait-led work, try another model in the same workbench.
The provider runs a safety check, and prompts with well-known characters, brands or sensitive content can be refused. A failed task returns its credits automatically.
